Terms of service
The rules for reading The Experience Desk and for using the paid Rate Desk plans. Effective October 14, 2026.
Who we are
The Experience Desk is an independent publication on customer-experience operations, run by the site administrator of customerexperience.io. Using the site means you accept these terms.
Reading the guides
The articles and guides are free to read. They are information, not legal, financial or procurement advice, and supplier rates quoted in them are rates we checked on the supplier's own price page on the date shown, which a supplier may change at any time.
Your account
An account is opened with your email address and a four-digit code we send to it. Keep access to that mailbox to yourself and tell us at [email protected] if someone else gets in. You answer for what happens under your account.
Paid plans
Rate Desk is sold as the plans Desk, Team and Advisory, billed monthly or yearly, with the current prices shown on the pricing page before you pay. Plans renew until you switch renewal off in your account. Payment is made by card through our payment operator in a secure form; we never see or store your card number. Paying for a plan starts the service immediately.
Refunds and cancelling
When a charge is returned, what happens to fees we keep and how renewal is switched off are set out in the refund policy, which forms part of these terms.
Acceptable use
Your plan is for you or, on Team and Advisory, for the seats it includes. Do not resell the rate table, copy it in bulk to publish elsewhere, run automated requests that load the service beyond normal use, or try to get past the access limits of your plan. We may suspend an account that does, and a period already paid for is then governed by the refund policy.
Our content
The text, tables and tools on the site belong to us. You may quote short passages with a link back. Your exports from a paid plan may be used inside your own organisation.
Availability and liability
We work to keep the site and Rate Desk available but do not promise uninterrupted service. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions you take on the basis of what we publish, and our liability for a paid plan is limited to the amount you paid for the period concerned.
Closing your account
You can switch renewal off at any time. To have your account and its data deleted, follow the steps in the privacy policy.
Changes and contact
If we change these terms, anything paid before the change keeps the terms that applied on the day of payment. Questions go to [email protected].
